Game 10
"The Return of Kudzu..."
Previously:
The battle on the platform begins. We are still trying to deal with the loss of Kudzu while faceing off aginast machines and dogs. Most of the party is feared and sent running in the opposite direction. Creeper and DeVine is taken from the party due to level drain.
In a desperate move we use the Greater Teleport and aim for the Storm of Vengence and succeed. We discover that while we were gone the Storm of Vengence was attacked by rockets. We are also put on the path of the Serpent by the clerics that were sent to retrieve the army of dead. However, we were almost defeated by Natalie Portman's boobs.
We journey to the fire cave to meet and hopefully recruit the Serpent. Through fate and a supreme command of faith Creeper is blessed as teh chosen one. The party is set on the holy mission of destroying the fleshing and retreiving our fallen comrad, Kudzu.
We also discover what the key is used for and how we might use it for the final battle. Creeper is given the power of the Serpent and we were told that when the time is right he can summon the serpents to battle. The game ends with us on the mission to recover Kudzu and find a mysterous guide that will put us on the path. |
Day 311: Daytime
Day 21: Machine Alliance

- jeremy looses his cohort
- the cohort separates from jeremy
- he feels that he would be violating his code
- there is not clear reason why this happened
The serpent tells us that an Alley is looking for us
- the initial assumption is that kudzu is the alley
- the Serpent brings us a piece of metal from the alley
- jeremy casts discern location on the alley
- the location is in the air
- Scry for alley
- another fern that passed the test
- he is in some type of compartment
- it looks like he is operating some controls
- Jeremy sends a message to the fern
- the fern looks at where the invisible sensor is
- he tells us to meet him on the sanctuary on the para-elemental plane of carbon dioxide
- it is close to the plane of air
- then he pushes a button and we loose the connection
Both Jeremy and Ted are feeling really weird
- Jeremy takes off his headband of intellect
- he still looses a point of WIS
- he casts arcane sight
- the fruit seems magical
- there is a slight aura of conjuration
- there is nothing that we can see or discern about the damage
- Creeper is thinking that they are still not free of their ties to the material
- they need to atone for a sin
- most likely the sin
- Jeremy believes that their god chose a poor time to punish them for material goods
Jeremy casts divination
- jeremy asked, "should we go to the para-elemental plane of carbon dioxide."
- the answer, "the others will suspect you of treachery"
- is the one that passed the test a tainted one
- the Serpent says that once one has passed the test will not normally fall
- he is probably still good
Jeremy is going to cast plane shift to get us to the para-elemental plane of Carbon Dioxide
- we make it to the place of CO2
- the plane is similar to the astral in the place of not gravity
We spot a layer of fuzzy ice beneath us
There is an object to the upper left
- Creeper and Aaron spot the object
- we are able to fly by movement
- jeremy casts sending and tells the alley that we are here
- it is a matter of marco-polo
- Ted had the idea to use the shrapnel rocket
After another sending we hear, "We are coming for you"
- there is a small light coming from the far away light
- we are waiting for the others to arrive
- Both Ted and Jeremy loose another point of WIS
- they are not sure why
- they want me to learn Atonement to take the loss away
- when the ship arrives they tell us to get in it is perfectly safe
- we have to strap the tree to the side of the ship
- arms grapple aaron to the side of the ship
- Inside of the ship there are other plants
- weeds and other ferns
- the plants are militaristic is style
- they are all carrying weapons and swords
- magical and military weapons
- It takes several minutes to get the ship moving again and all of us into the ship
- it finally teleports away
- there are several teleports after each push
- we are way off course
Once onboard Jeremy and Ted both seek help with their WIS problems
- Both Ted and Jeremy are not who they appear to be
- There is something wrong with their auras
- the plants are revolting against Ted and Jeremy
- Ted is blown out of the ship by telekinesis
- Creeper commands the driver fern to pick up Ted
- he is trapped on the outside of the ship
- Jeremy is trapped in a force cage
- The other are apprehensive about the rest of the party
- We teleport back to the plant plane
- We are flying back to the Valley of Darkness
- once there they cast a spell
Both the plants and Jeremy ready an action
- The plants cast a modified version of a PHB (Baleful Polymorph) spell and Jeremy is reverted to a normal fern
- The force-cage is released and a spell is cast
- We plant Jeremy in the ground and wait
- The plants teleport away
- Ted and Jeremy are down another WIS point for a total of 3 points
Creeper plants Jeremy in soil and Aaron carries it with us
- Jeremy is still an ordinary fern
- We are heading back to the Storm of Vengeance
- Then we may be heading back to the Serpent
Aaron casts Break Enchantment on Jeremy and he is restored to animation
- Both Ted and Jeremy loose another point bringing them down to -4 WIS
Creeper communes with the divine
- are they impostors
- is ability drain result

Aaron tries to cast atone and he then speaks with the voice of the one true god
- Both Jeremy and Ted have Atone cast
- they must now seek the fallen
- they have to try to turn Kudzu
- The loss of WIS stops when they are on the path
- There is a question about how to get to Kudzu
- Kudzu is underground
- Jeremy uses the pool to scry
- he looks bad and injured
- he has no equipment
- he is in a sewer lying in the muck
- this is the same sewer as the first time they did scry
- he is moving but very slowly
- he is about 3,000 to 5,000 miles
- several teleports to get to where we need to go
- Jeremy and Aaron spells up the party before staring the teleport
They teleport in next to Kudzu
- i turn in disbelief
- Jeremy casts wall of stone in front of me
- Aaron casts Heal and offer me elimination from magical insanity
- it does not remove mental anguish
- it calms me
- I am released from the hold
Initiative and combat
- evil attacks the party with a surprise round
- The party is attacked from the end of the corridor
- Ted: shots the bow of machine bane at the big guy
- there is no bonus since he is not in good standing
- hits three times
- Tom: charges with reckless abandon at the nearest opponent
- i am a disgrase

- Jeremy: he is using the acid ball maximized for 150 points damage
- Evil: machine gun fire
- ted evades
- kudzu takes half damage
- Aaron: summons elementals
- the elementals do some major damage
- Ted: shooting with the bow at the flying machines
- switches to the frost bow
- Tom: whirlwind attack on everyone
- the enemy must die
- hits the elementals and the machines
- Creeper: casts Mislead on himself
- Jeremy: casts Mordenkins sword and attacks
- he realises that he does not have Divine spell
- There is a taint of pissy in voice, "Did anyone say I was done?"
- Evil: casts Dispel and removes the sword
- the elementals are safe from dispel
- the big machine raises
- Aaron: casts wall of stone
- Ted: hides
- Tom: tries to attack all and rolls 1
- they have taken away the enemies

- Creeper:
- Jeremy: starts to gather all the people
- only willing creatures can teleport
- casts another Wall of Stone
- casts Charm Person on Kudzu
- Evil: attacks the wall
- Aaron: grapples Kudzu
- Ted: wants to simply kill Kudzu
- Tom: wild reckless rage

- Jeremy: manages to make the CHA check
- Kudzu is a willing for the Teleport
The party manages to get Kudzu and the rest of the team back to the Storm of Vengeance
- The main problem is what to do with Kudzu
- Jeremy wants to find a way to erase his memory
- Ted wants to kill him
- Creeper wants to hear him out
- Aaron has no opinion unless Kudzu proves dangerous
- The party still doesn't know what has happened to Kudzu or what he has been through
